Q&A WITH ANGEL CHARMAINE WRIGHT

God has once again allowed me another opportunity to interview an amazing woman of God! Her heart and passion for God as well as her ability to unite women as a whole by challenging them to an open & honest conversation is what prompted me to request this interview in the first place. I believe that her story of courage and wisdom will inspire us all to become a better version of ourselves, which is all that anyone could ask. I’m honored and truly blessed to be able to pick her brain today to discover what inspires her greatness. It is my prayer that the Q&A session below will bless every woman that reads it and that it will encourage you to extend love & admiration to other women all around the world. This is the essence of what women’s empowerment is all about. Please enjoy.

QUESTION: (LOLITA)

When you wake up first thing in the morning what excites you, gets you motivated to be the phenomenal woman that you are?

ANSWER: (ANGEL)

Waking up every morning is what motivates me to do what God has created me to do in this world. I read somewhere that every day we awaken death has been defeated. Knowing everyone did not win that battle encourages me to work in excellence every day.

QUESTION: (LOLITA)

Who/what has inspired your greatness? What impact has this person or thing made on your life as a whole?

ANSWER: (ANGEL)

My mom inspires me. Watching my mother live through the hard parts of life as a single mother of three children with no help. My mom’s mother died before I was born while my mother was a teenager. She didn’t have a father, so she maneuvered life the best way she knew how. Knowing that she was able to “stick and stay” and come out golden reminds me that I can do it too.

QUESTION: (LOLITA)

You may or may not know that the tagline for the brand is “break the chain, challenge the status quo” so I must ask what chains/barriers have you broken in your life to get to where you are today?

ANSWER: (ANGEL)

I have broken so many chains. One of the biggest obstacles was surviving the trauma of childhood sexual abuse. I was molested at the age of 5-6 years old. There is so much residue that remains after abuse that clouds your judgement and leads to poor decision-making. I am grateful to say I no longer have open wounds relating to childhood sexual abuse, and I now help other women to speak up, so they too can heal.

QUESTION: (LOLITA)

I’m assuming you’ve had to step outside the box (challenge the status quo) in some regards throughout your life. Please explain what makes you unique and different in how you present your gift to the world?

ANSWER: (ANGEL)

Lol, it seems my life has been all about challenging the status quo. I think my ability to do the things that scare me silly is what makes how I show up in the world different from many people. I’m not afraid to go, do or be whatever God leads me to go, do or be. This presents as healthy risk-taking which oftentimes places me ahead of others who prefer comfort and stability.

QUESTION: (LOLITA)

When you’re not on your grind, that is, working etc. what do you like to do you in your spare time?

ANSWER: (ANGEL)

When I am not grinding, I like to be by myself. I enjoy quiet time with me. Lol I read, walk, sleep…whatever I feel like doing or not doing.

QUESTION: (LOLITA)

I’d love for you to share any uplifting books, quotes, scriptures, or any advice that you can with my audience. Anything you think might inspire them to greatness?

ANSWER: (ANGEL)

My favorite quote is by Maya Angelou. “People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you make them feel.” I live by this, and I encourage others to adopt it as a tenant in their own “way of being.” Relationships are one of the most valuable things we have as humans. We should protect them and care for them properly. The way to protect relationships is to respect the people with whom we are in relation and treat their hearts well. Smile at people often. Look at people when you talk to them. Don’t just be nice to be people; be kind. There’s a difference.

QUESTION: (LOLITA)

Lastly, outside of what you’ve already mentioned briefly in your bio where can my audience reach you? What social media platforms etc. are you on?

ANSWER: (ANGEL)

Aside from my website and social media platforms, I can be reached directly via email at info@angelcharmaine.com
